Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Beat the eggs
and sugar very well together. Add the sifted dry
ingredients to the eggs and mix well.
Melt the
butter and milk together and add to the mixture.
Pour the mixture into a prepared oven dish and
bake for 30 minutes or until done.
Syrup:
Boil all the ingredients together for 5 minutes
and add 15ml grated orange peel and 250ml orange
juice.
Pour over the hot cake and prick with a fork
to absorb the liquid.
Cut into squares and serve
with thick cream. |
