Beef with Bamboo Shoots

General: Serves 4!

Ingredients:


500g beef, sliced

4 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp coarse black pepper

2 tbsp sesame oil

2 tbsp corn flour

Oil for frying

1 ginger root, peeled and sliced

1 clove garlic, chopped

4 tbsp oyster sauce

1 tbsp white wine

100g canned bamboo shoots, sliced

Method:

 

Marinate the beef in the soy sauce, black pepper, sesame oil and corn flour. Leave for at least 2 hours.

Drain off the marinade, heat up a pan with some oil and flash fry beef at a high heat, very quickly, then set aside.

Heat up some oil in a pan and fry the ginger and garlic for about 2 minutes. Add the oyster sauce and white wine, boil for about 1 minute. Toss the rest of the ingredients together making sure the beef is well coated.

Serve with rice.
